My loving wife of 30 years made a wonderful gesture a month ago. We were talking about the lack of parking at Shea, the walk from the Tennis Center and the pain she would encounter walking that distance with her arthritic knees. She said not to worry, I'll make it somehow! Not only does that show that love will conquer all, it also reaffirms the knowledge that there is no pain a Met fan won't go through for his or her team (hopefully I'll have obtained a handicapped parking permit from the motor vehicles by then - and I also know she has a secret crush on David Wright as well!). My tears had already come flooding out when Endy did what Endy does. I'd been holding it in all week, and when he came down with the ball in his glove, the time bomb that was my emotions exploded.
