Do you think the Mets would actually be smart enough to make a Stoner jersey?
Actually, it seems like the kind of thing that would sell better to Giants fans.

Mike,
I'm sure this was meant for Jason, but regarding other interesting Met collections, I do have a set of anxieties that are in mint condition.

I'll go to my grave wondering why there was no Rusty Staub card issued in 1973--the season I collected Topps cards the most voraciously during my youth.

Greg,
Interesting collection! Some years ago I had the idea of collecting every Mets Topps card, and I've got all the cards from 1973 on...and a bunch pre 1973...but then life happened. I got married and had kids, so dispite by increased income I'm actually poorer now then when I was single. It will be resumed some day...I hope....maybe I can invest some of my 401K in cards. :)
I do have a nice collection of 1969 signed 8x10's. I have the entire team sans Danny Frisella, and Jim Gosger, I have a Gil Hodges but not signed. Almost all of them were taken in 1969 Spring Training, except the players who were acquired mid yr like big Donn. Do you have any other interesting Met's collections?

For whatever reason, this year's group doesn't depress me as much as <a href="http://faithandfear.blogharbor.com/blog/_archives/2008/11/22/3989219.html" rel="nofollow">last year's</a>. I suppose it's understandable.
