ABOUT US

Greg Prince and Jason Fry
Faith and Fear in Flushing made its debut on Feb. 16, 2005, the brainchild of two longtime friends and lifelong Met fans.

Greg Prince discovered the Mets when he was 6, during the magical summer of 1969. He is a Long Island-based writer, editor and communications consultant. Contact him here.

Jason Fry is a Brooklyn writer whose first memories include his mom leaping up and down cheering for Rusty Staub. Check out his other writing here.

Two World Series, Two Deserving Champions

Congratulations to Ray Stilwell, winner of our second Flashback Friday quiz. He joins David Anderson, Jr. in our pantheon of FBF champions.

We thank A&E Home Video for supplying us with the discs to give away. If you wish to purchase the DVD for yourself or a loved one, you can find more information here.

It Really Has Been Brought

We’re all tired. But c’mon Mr. Met. Once more, with feeling…(As ever, thanks Zed.)

Oh, It's Been Brought

HEEEERE birdy, birdy…Some birds are more appealing than Redbirds, such as Zed Duck Studios.

Baseball's Best Prognosticator

According to her Aunt Laurie, Jordan insisted all along […]

Emily's Wall

This* is my wife’s Met shrine at work. More joyous front pages and photos to come. And note the orange flowers in the blue vase, please. I’m happy to say the choice of colors was my handiwork….

Getting Shirty

Here it is, our first-ever Faith and Fear in Flushing t-shirt. Be the envy of your block — or think of something to say when somebody asks you what that weird URL on your back is.

Want one? Here’s how to get one. And bless you.

Front Runners, At Last

After 18 seasons, Faith has trumped Fear. FAFIF’s own Jason and Greg enjoy the 2006 National League Eastern Division title just moments before earned by your 2006 National League Eastern Division Champion New York Mets. Note my exceedingly rare 1976 Bicentennial-model Mets cap, rarer still Brooklyn Cyclones quasi-forerunner Queens Kings t-shirt from their only campaign […]

Mr. Met Loves to Redecorate

He’s got a hammer. And he’s got some nails. Now he has a divisional championship banner to affix above the rightfield wall. Mr. Met is enjoying this first stage of his extreme Shea makeover.

As In We're No. 1!

Mr. Met knows the score. We’re No. 1!

The Faith and Fear Magic Number Countdown was a 2006 Production of Zed Duck Studios.

Joy

Save this one for a hideous day in January — I guarantee it’ll make you feel like it’s summer.
